Sam’s original intended engineering career path was dramatically altered by his call to full-time Christian ministry. Over the years he has served as a college professor, pastor, missionary, and leadership mentor. The focused expression of his gifts has been in leading church establishing mission trips around the world for over thirty years. Wherever Sam gains opportunity, he is actively focused on walking side-by-side with people to encourage them in navigating the realities of life and work.

Sam has been married to his wife Vicki for 45 years. Together they have authored two books about the role of prayer in healthy Christian marriage. Sam and Vicki are blessed to have their immediate family residing in the Dallas area, including 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law; and the joyful energy of 3 young grandchildren, which all keeps them on the move!
